Here at Watts Control LTD we take environmental issues seriously and therefore over the past couple of years we have developed a refurbishment/recycle system for portable tool transformers up to large site distribution transformers.
We are always researching ways in which we can become more beneficial to the environment and reducing emissions in our production.
One way in which we are doing this is by helping stopping transformers going into landfill by finding ways to either refurbish or recycle component parts.
We offer a refurbish service for all manufacturers of site distribution transformers. We remove the transformer from its current housing with all available recyclable materials being disposed of in the correct manner. We then thoroughly test the transformer itself before application of a protective electrical varnish in preparation for re-housing inside a new enclosure. All component parts including sockets and MCB's are also replaced giving the product a complete fresh makeover. This would then be tested again before returning to the customer. We have now refurbished over 500 transformers with this service becoming more in demand. As well as saving the customer money from purchasing a new transformer it is much better for the environment that the transformer is re used and other parts are correctly recycled as we aim towards our targets for reducing emissions.
